7 Simple Tricks To Rocking Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably a hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank which means they can mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice for those who are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It features a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone however it will help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But  best affordable robot vacuum  has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does everything.

However, if you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet flooring, and mopping functions for a low cost. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move around, however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation.  automatic vacuum  charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
